Tennis Academy of South Fulton is a full-service training academy with the staff and resources to allow any player to reach the level of excellence they desire: high school team, advanced junior competition, or collegiate tennis.

Academy Objectives Include:

To encourage tennis participation of all ages, levels of interest and caliber of play
To set the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship
To provide quality instruction, assisting players in reaching their full potential
To use youth tennis training to develop important life skills such as time management, goal setting, and handling adversity
To maintain a friendly and safe environment, as well as the best playing conditions and facilities

General Programming:

Year-round training
Students set their own goals with Academy staff to fit their needs
Group drill sessions, 5 days per week, 2 hours in length
In-depth mental toughness training; Comprehensive off court training
Match play

LEVEL 1 PROGRAM

Juniors starting to play level 4 and 5 tournaments through state ranked
Recommended commitment level of 2 to 3 drills per week

LEVEL 2 PROGRAM

Juniors state ranked through sectionally ranked
Recommended commitment level of 2 to 3 drills per week

LEVEL 3 PROGRAM

Juniors – sectionally through nationally ranked
Recommended commitment level of 3 to 4 days per week
Optional training 5 days a week for elite tennis players who home school

ANNUAL PROGRAMMING FEE

At Levels 2 & 3 and gives students the added training most academies miss.
Complimentary coaching at 2 Atlanta based USTA tournaments
Competitive match play weekends
Parent training seminars on tournaments and junior development
College selection service
$250 fee is refundable for the first 30 days of Academy membership.

DRILL SESSIONS AND FEES

Students may sign-up for 2 to 4 drill sessions weekly. (2 hours)
Make ups are provided for inclement weather.
Cost per hour drill is $30
Fees based on 8 or 9 week sessions

Coaching Philosophy

At the academy, we believe in following a process-based approach over a results-based approach. The central goal is the improvement with every ball a player hits regardless of whether they win or lose. Players learn to understand that some of the greatest lessons in life come from the losses, that both winning and losing are natural outcomes on the journey of constant improvement

Tim Blenkiron, Executive Director and Coach is featured on the Tennis Channel Academy with Tracy Austin. Coach Blenkiron discusses the No Quit Philosophy, his coaching philosophy, and coaching strategies.

Outstanding Coaches

The No Quit Tennis Academy Executive Director, Tim Blenkiron, has been playing and coaching tennis since he was 2 years old. He has dedicated his life to the sport and along the way has worked for Andre Agassi, United States Tennis Association, as well as having coached on the WTA Tour. Blenkiron has handpicked a very diverse group of coaches with International experience that include College & Professional tennis players, Club Directors and Fitness Specialists. He has personally trained them all on his Philosophy and System which includes the following:

1) Spending as much time developing the person and the athlete as you do the tennis player

2) Teaching kids to use tennis as a way to learn life lessons

3) Putting the athlete first and develop a team around them

4) Emphasize striving for excellence

5) Emphasize sportsmanship & the spirit of competition

Your Game

Your game is in your hands. The No Quit Tennis Academy is home to outstanding coaches and some of the top Juniors in the Nation and the Intermountain Section. The full-time morning Academy is an intense workout five days per week with top coaches, outstanding players, and usually a few outstanding alumni when they are on break from the Professional Tour or College. Improving your game is always a top goal at the No Quit Academy. Since 2006, the No Quit Tennis Academy has:

Ken Adamson, who served as the first President was instrumental in negotiating the Tortola Sports Club acquisition of the property at Pasea in 1972 and in getting the first squash court built in 1974.

The second court was added five years later.

The Tortola Sports Club now boasts 4 floodlit hard court tennis courts, 4 indoor squash courts, an air-conditioned gym and a clubhouse with all amenities.

The Club hosts an Annual General Meeting where committee positions are voted on by the members of the club. These positions are voluntary with the committee providing direction for the upcoming year regarding both facilities and also support to the Club Manager.

The current Club Manager is Joe Kneipp who also acts as the Club’s resident Squash Pro.
